This is a must have book for beginning Beekeepers. This is the first book we bought on the subject and it’s fantastic! All the information you need to know to be successful at it without having to learn it all over the course of many years and many, many mistakes. I haven’t read this one yet but I’m including it because of the good reviews and also the author is the guy that developed the modern beehive that all of us use. The Langstroth hive - the big white stack of boxes. I’m going to guess that he might have some insight into beekeeping. Dadant has been in the beekeeping business since the late 1800’s. This book was written in 1917 and would serve as a great reference book. Get yourself a newer book for the latest information on disease and medication but this one would be interesting for the historical interest in the hobby.
